The Humane Society of the U.S.

About Us:

As the nation’s largest and most effective animal protection organization, The Humane Society of the United States has been a leading voice for animals for more than 50 years. We believe in a truly humane society, and work to reduce suffering and create meaningful social change for animals in every way possible — from providing direct care and response in the field when animals are in crisis, to working with corporate leaders and lawmakers to adopt policies preventing animals from ending up in distress in the first place.

The Center for Biological Diversity

About Us:

At the Center for Biological Diversity, we believe that the welfare of human beings is deeply linked to nature — to the existence in our world of a vast diversity of wild animals and plants. Because diversity has intrinsic value, and because its loss impoverishes society, we work to secure a future for all species, great and small, hovering on the brink of extinction. We do so through science, law and creative media, with a focus on protecting the lands, waters and climate that species need to survive.

The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals

About Us:

Horses that come to HPAF are typically malnourished, which is what comes to mind with “rescue”. However rehabilitating malnourished and neglected horses is only a small part of what HPAF does. Malnourished and starving horses receive proper nutrition, veterinary care and hoof care to bring them back to a healthy state. Then the real work begins.

Voices of Change Animal League (VOCAL)

About Us:

VOCAL is committed to improving the lives of chained and neglected animals in our community by providing assistance with fencing, doghouses and/or medical care. We strive to educate the public about the mental and physical pain animals suffer while spending their lives chained. Together we can be a voice for these and other lonely, neglected animals.
