Saving Animals for Everyone Supplies

The grant money has been used to help with the day to day operation at our facility, animal feed and animal supplies, along with much needed veterinarian care. We have also been able to acquire with the help of this grant a new enclosure to house large dogs. This structure is 25 x 20 x 10 which includes two dog runs that measure 12 x 20 x 10.

Below are pictures of the new structure and the Chihuahua puppy that was bit by a coyote when we received it and needed veterinarian care immediately. I would like to take the time to sincerely thank you for your continued support of our organization.

Sheltering Hands

Thanks to the generosity of For Our Friends the Animals the kittens and cats in our new facility will have spacious and comfortable areas to await adoption.

Our recently purchased property had a 2 bedroom – 1500 sq ft house on the parcel with the previous veterinary clinic which is being modified for our Community Cats surgical center.  The house is being converted to a “foster site” for some of our cats who don’t do well with the stress of being at our Petsmart site and still allow them to be showcased for adoptions.
The house required mostly cosmetic changes but with the grant money we are modifying one room into a “cat apartment”, adding special housing areas to the group room to allow for cats who prefer their solitude and  adding a “sun room” to the existing porch so that cats can be better enriched in their day to day lives.
The “cat apartment” is completed (see photo) at this point.
The sun room construction is scheduled to being next week and the individual condos have been ordered.  We hope to have all construction and modification completed within the month and have cats ready for adoption by the end of July.
Thank you so much for helping us make their lives better and giving them an opportunity to find a loving forever home.
